Personal Injury and Estate Planning Attorneys

Nicholas J. Castellano, II.

Attorney

I learned early in life how a “personal injury” can affect an entire family. When I was a teenager, my mother slipped on ice while running one morning. A homeowner negligently left their sprinklers on overnight during a winter freeze and an ice sheet formed on their sidewalk. My mother’s leg broke almost in half, and she severely broke her ankle, too. Even now, more than 15 years later, my mom still suffers from the injury and will have lifelong medical needs because of it. My memories of her multiple surgeries and her ongoing grueling recovery remind me that no matter how simple or unintentional an act of negligence may seem, the consequences for the victim can be life-changing.

People deserve to get paid for the work they do. This seems pretty obvious, but I‘ve seen firsthand how bad employers can take advantage of their workers by not paying them the wages they have rightfully earned. They often use the fear of being fired to keep employees from asking for the money they’re owed. I know how powerless this can feel. We all take pride in our work and expect to get paid what we’re rightfully owed. My own past work experiences drive me to get justice for people who need a voice to demand they be treated fairly.

A trial lawyer has to be a “grinder.” That means I spend countless hours investigating, learning and “grinding” through every detail of my client’s cases. When the time comes to stand up at trial in front of judge and jury, that knowledge leads to power in a courtroom. I know I’m a grinder and I relish the opportunity to out-work any opposing attorney to give my client the upper hand in their case.

What I do as an attorney can change the lives of the people who I represent. When my mother fell, the real life, day-to-day struggle of her injury taught me the importance of compassion for the injured. It also taught me that I must aggressively represent my clients so they can emotionally and financially get back on their feet and start over. My goal is to treat every client’s case like it was my own mother’s: With integrity, passion, and a dedication to justice.
