Discrimination/Retaliation

While our country has made strides towards social equality and justice, there are, unfortunately, many individuals working in managerial roles in companies all over the country who are racist, prejudiced, and intolerant. Federal and Florida law protects employees from being discriminated against, reprimanded, disciplined, or terminated on the basis of race, gender, national origin, disability, religion, and sexual orientation.

The law also protects individuals who are the victims of “hostile work environments,” if the hostility is based on the employee’s race, religion, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.
